Growing Floret is a documentary series that chronicles Floret, a family-run flower farm located in the Skagit River Valley of Washington State. Founders Erin and Chris Benzakein have spent the last 15 years building their business, now considered by many to be one of the most well-known flower farms in the world.
Emmy-nominated season 1 documents the transformation of the farm and the people of Floret for an entire year. Each episode is centered around a specific season and explores what it takes to grow a heart-centered, creative business.
Season 2 explores four special projects including roses, flower breeding, education, and the natural world—all through the lens of legacy.

Erin and Chris Benzakein are on a mission to bring more flowers into the world. In 2018, they took a risk by purchasing 24 acres of run-down farmland in order to expand their growing ground and create a living laboratory. Season 1 documents the transformation of the new farm as they work to realize a long-held dream of creating a space where both their business and the natural world can thrive.
What is your legacy?
This is the central question of Growing Floret season 2, and Erin wrestles with it as she works to save endangered roses, breed never-before-seen varieties of flowers, create a massive library of her work, and start writing a new book. She juggles these projects while trying to run a successful business and be a good steward of the land. Each episode unravels a different element of Erin’s most cherished values and the ones she wants to carry into the future.
This season is a four-part exploration of the past, the future, and doing the best with the time that you have now.
